In Genesis 26, when Isaac went into the land of Gerar, he entered a land in famine.  The Lord warned him not to go to Egypt.  I am sure he must have been tempted to go.  The local news must have told how Egypt seemed to be escaping the present shortage and economic situation.  The Lord told him to stay in Gerar because this was the Lord's will.  God had a plan for Isaac and his family to be blessed and be a blessing to others in this Philistine land. In verse 12, Isaac sowed his seed in this land during a time of drought.

In our day, there is an economic crisis facing the entire world.  Yet, if you will stop to think about it, the economic problem is facing manmade institutions.  God made seed and God made ground.  God has never had a drought.  During the time of economic crisis, Isaac took the seed made by God and put it into the ground made by God. He received a one hundred- fold return in the same year and God blessed him so much the Philistines were envious.

You still have money in your pocket.  Money comes from God.  You still have the kingdom of God to sow into.  Man made neither one.  Continue to sow God's seed into God's ground and you will continue to receive God's blessing.  The world can be envious of you even during this time of world wide crisis.
